Here is some information and pictures on the 2008 show.

We have 15 mini-trees arranged in a pyramid form. Several different patterns are available to sequence using this formation.

There are less than 10,000 lights this year, 2008. We hope to add more next year. An electrical sub-panel was added this year so we have plenty of power for more lights. Currently we are running with 64 channels plus the 4 DMX controlled lights. Some lights are in back, since you can see the back of the house from the main street.

Four DMX controlled lights are currently placed under the garage eve. This allows for almost an unlimited range of lighting colors, but we basically just use the Red, Green, and White ones for the Christmas season.

There are 10 C9 type Strobe lights in the trees for this year. I'm also working on mounting the 6 Halloween strobes under the eves for additional strobe effect at various times within some songs. The plan is to add more C9 stobes to the area for bigger impact.

There are also several spot lights that light up the back of the house. While they are part of the sequences this year for the songs, next year they are planned to be independent. Mainly because you can't hear the songs from the back of the house as you're driving along the road. It's more of an eye catching effort.

There are two types of holiday spot light mounts, one with a base, and the other with only a spike-into-the-ground stake. The ones with a base have two small screw mounts to mount the base directly to an object. In my case, I just mounted them to a 2x4. Much easier than having to build a small setup to hold the stakes up off the ground. My plan is to have as many things pre-built as possible for easier deployment. This will make setup easier, quicker, and basically warmer, since most of the work will done in the garage or over the summer. :-)

Here is the sub-panel and one of the controllers located in the gargage. After the holidays, I'll redo the dry wall around the panel and put up more peg board. I had to take down a 4x8 foot peg board panel to have the sub-panel and outlets mounted. So I'll work on the entire wall after the first of the year. I wanted to spend time on the show and getting ligths up first. Always more work to do. It's a 90amp sub-panel with 6 - 20amp circuits currently mounted. Each pair of plugs is a seperate circuit.
